Maki Goto is making a Comeback with her newly signed contract with Avex Trax. After being "frozen" for several months due to her brother's theft arrest in last October 2007 and sentence of 5 years jail. Now things are finally looking better for the Goto family.
Her blog indicated during her One-Month stay in Los Angeles, she took up dance and vocal trainings to be better prepare herself for this comeback. Leaving her Upfront-Artist Agency, Maki Goto is now rightfully signed under Avex Trax.
Maki has performed on Avex's 20th anniversary celebration on last Sunday 22nd June 2008, holding its annual concert for stockholders. 11 other Avex stars like Ayumi Hamasaki and Koda Kumi are scheduled to perform. However, Ayu was absent due to her national tour.
The remaining artists who performed as per scheduled, are Exile, Namie Amuro, Noriyuki Makihara and Ai Otsuka, Koda Kumi and Maki Goto.
Koda Kumi cried and apologised to the stockholders during the concert regarding the "rotten womb" incident that was broadcast over the radio late January this year 2008.
I guess the incident did not really affect the Avex stockholders as Avex had recorded 104.6 billion yen sales in 2007, which is the highest in its 20-year history. Money sucking huh?
